Six Mile Slough Restoration Project:
The Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area and Ducks Unlimited Canada with funding from the Columbia Basin Trust will be conducting a wetland restoration project in Six Mile Slough between September 11th and October 27th, 2023.
To facilitate the work and as part of the EmergencyResponse Plan the boat launch area by the American Duck Hunters’ camp (marked by an orange star on the map) will need to remain clear at all time during the work period. We are asking for the public assistance while we try to complete the project as soon as possible.
- Hunters please beware of construction workers and machinery in the area.
- Boaters are encouraged to use the boat launches at Kuskonook and Old Kootenay Ferry Landing during the work period.
